Tips and Instructions for Tattoo Removal by Dr.Charles Buchar
Tattoo removal is more often than not a painful, costly and time consuming process . Just as the pros and cons of acquiring a tattoo should be carefully considered before making a final decision , whether and how to get a tattoo removed are decisions that should be carefully considered . There are many reasons to have a tattoo removed or altered:
Salt Abrasion Technique
Requirements
1. Salt
2. Damp Wash Cloth
3. Hydrogen Peroxide
4. Clean Cloth/Paper Towels
5. Vitamin E
6. Bandages
Instructions
1. The first step is to wet the tattoo. Apply some amount of ground table or sea salt on the tattooed area and rub the tattoo with a damp wash cloth. It is like sanding the outer layers of your skin, to take them off. You will have to continue rubbing till the area starts bleeding. Keep adding more salt, as required.
2. Wash the area thoroughly with water and apply a generous amount of hydrogen peroxide on the affected skin. Afterwards, use a clean towel to pat your skin dry.
3. Dab some liquid Vitamin E on the scrubbed area, and cover it neatly with a dry bandage. Make sure that the bandage is not extremely tight and air passage is allowed.
4. You will have to wait till a scab forms on the area, which will fall off on its own. The scab will take the tattoo ink out of the skin. Your tattoo will become very light after the area heals completely.
5. You can repeat the process, if you wish to lighten your tattoo even more. However, make sure to allow scab formation and full healing, before you begin the process a second or third time.
Caution: Some people have a very sensitive skin, which tends to bleed easily. In this case, it is better to get the tattoo removed by a professional.

2. Sand Paper/ Pumice Stone
3. Anti-bacterial Powder
4. Bandage
Instructions
1. Wash your tattoo with soap, before you begin the process of scrubbing it.
2. Scrub the tattooed area with a sand paper or pumice stone, till it starts bleeding. However, make sure that you do not scrub the area too hard, as it may damage your skin. The idea is to just scrub off the top layer of your tattooed skin.
3. Wash the tattooed area thoroughly and dab generous amount of anti-bacterial powder on the scrubbed skin. Then, cover your tattoo wound with a bandage.
4. Allow the scabs to form and fall on their own. Let the wound heal completely to see the results.
Caution: Sensitive skin may not be able to tolerate this tattoo-scrubbing technique.
